Z-Shade Co. Ltd. is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Activa Leisure Group…. the world’s leading manufacturer of Shade products. Z-Shade Company Ltd, (who has been manufacturing instant canopies in a variety of sizes and colors since 2000), joined Treasure Garden (a manufacturer of custom garden, aluminum and wood umbrellas) based in Baldwin Park, CA. along with our other groups such as Shademaker (a globally known brand specializing in the contract/hospitality umbrella industry) along with Hoyland Fox (a legendary English umbrella maker founded in 1842) and Spettman, a quality awning manufacturer. Having a global workforce of over 5,000 employees sharing the same vision for quality, service and commitment to excellence has resulted in Activa Leisure Group becoming the worldwide leader in manufactured shade products.

In 2008, Activa opened a new highly automated, state of the art manufacturing facility designed exclusively to produce Instant Canopies. Due to our rapid growth, the facility was expanded in 2011 and we continue to add automation and quality improvements to our production. Our facility manufactures over 90% of all our components used for Instant Canopies which allows us to closely monitor and control all stages of the manufacturing process. With over 250 quality control and research and development people we can produce consistent quality Instant Canopies with one of the lowest defective rates in the industry.

We were the exclusive licensee and manufacturer for E-Z UP. Perfecting the manufacturing process with industry leading innovations has lead us to create our own line of Instant Canopies (launched in 2014) under the Z-Shade brand, producing canopies for such customers as Sam’s Club, Academy Sports + Outdoors, Big 5 and K-Mart, to name a few. We provide our customers with innovative, top quality Instant Canopies that are convenient yet functional.
